JUNK MAIL ISSUE:
It has been brought to my attention
by some of our loyal customers (thanks
guys and gals) that sometimes (especially
if it is a web page you are getting
in your e-mail) that using the method
of viewing headers that I described
in our last mailing doesn't work all
the time.
I wanted to tell you of an alternate
method you can use to view the FULL
e-mail headers - this helps us because
then we can block the mail from the
source. We know that lots of times e-mail
spammers use programs that mask where
the mail is really coming from. This
prevents you from replying to the mail
to get "removed" from their
list. This also lets these spammers
know that your e-mail address is valid.
Lots of times, asking to be removed
is a "green light" to others
that your e-mail address is working,
and keep on sending more junk right
to your e-mail box.
If you are seeing something like this:

When you "view the full headers"
then you need to use the alternate method
of viewing and sending these headers
to help us block the spammers. E-mail
that DOES NOT have the full header viewable
does not allow us to block the correct
e-mail address, and we cannot enter
those into our spam filter to block
the senders.
ALTERNATE METHOD OF VIEWING FULL HEADERS:
1) Double click on the e-mail you received
to open that mail.
2) Click on "File" and then
"Properties"
3) Go to the "Details" tab
4) Highlight all of the text you see
(by using your mouse to click at the
beginning of the text, holding down
your mouse button and "dragging"
it to the end of the text, then letting
go of your mouse button). Once you have
the text highlighted, then hold down
your "Ctrl" key, and push
the "C" (yes, the letter C)
key. This will copy the text you just
highlighted.
5) Now, open up a new mail message -
in the body of the message (where you
type what you are going to say) click
with your mouse so that your mouse cursor
is blinking there. Now hold down your
"Ctrl" key and click the "V"
key. This will paste the text that you
just copied into the body of the message.
6) Address that message to spambox@fament.com
and send it on. We really don't need
the original message, but if you would
like to copy and paste it into the same
message as the full header, you can
do that too by following the above steps
(A hint: The "copy" and "paste"
will work in just about any Windows
program, even between programs if you
wanted to copy something from a web
page and paste it into Notepad, for
example)
Thanks so much for helping us to prevent
spam mail and for helping us to keep
your e-mail box more clutter free.
